Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me - Matt 25:40
Our name is derived from Jesus’ words, as recorded in Matthew 25:40:

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of

these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.

Do you really think that anyone grows up, goes to school, graduates, and decides, “I think I’ll live out my days under a bridge or in a tent in the woods?” Of course not! According to a report by the Columbus Consolidated Government, on any given day, there are 1,500+ people in our city who wake up not knowing where their next meal is coming from and not knowing where they will sleep that night.  Many of these people have chronic health problems and/or drug or alcohol addictions. The majority of these people find themselves on our streets in order to escape family issues or because of the loss of their only source of income.   Unless you travel, with really searching eyes, south on Second Avenue, walk along the Riverwalk from Bibb City toward TSYS, or know where to find our tent cities, you may not be aware that our homeless actually exist.

M2540 is committed to relational evangelism.  We are called to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the homeless community, where they are, in the Columbus, GA area with the ultimate vision of growing the Kingdom by dramatically reducing the number of chronically homeless in our area.
