Why we exist: Our purpose is to reconnect isolated people to God and a community of support by providing human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking.

Our MISSION is to minister to the spiritual and physical

needs of the homeless  and at risk community, where they are, by:

  • reaching them for Christ through personal and group evangelism, prayer, discipleship, bible and other Christian literature distribution (Matthew 28:18-20).

  • displaying the love of Christ through the development of authentic relationships, regardless of the reason they are homeless (Romans 3:21-25, Ephesians 3:14-19).

  • conveying to the homeless community that God has not forgotten about them (Isaiah 41:17, Psalm 140:12, Luke 4:16)

  • acting as the hands and feet of Christ by consistently providing (1 John 3:17, Deuteronomy 15:7-11)

    • Home-cooked meals-mobile hunger relief (meaning that we deliver the meals to them where they are-in the woods, under bridges, etc.)
    • Groceries-snack bags

    • Hygiene items (toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, wash cloths, deodorant, razors, etc.)

    • Clothing

    • Shelter items-blankets, tents, hand warmers, etc.

    • First aid items

    • Other items to enhance their existence

  • assisting with housing placement

    • providing furniture, appliances, and other necessities

One of the most unique things about M2540 is that our team reaches the homeless community right where they are.  Our call is to be there wherever there is.  Sometimes there is under a bridge-sometimes there is in an abandoned building-sometimes there is at a camp in the woods.  We don’t know where the next there is, but wherever it is, we will be there humbly trying to be the hands and feet of Christ serving this community.

Our ministry initially consists of two teams of people who are called to serve this, seemingly, forgotten segment of our community-Monday  street team and a prayer team.  The Street Teams meet from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm to put together the hot meals and other provisions of the day and then hit the streets at 7:00 pm.  We hang out on the streets feeding and ministering until, approximately, 8:30pm or 9:00 pm in an effort to build relationships within the homeless community.

From attending church together to helping our friends move into housing to help obtaining prescriptions or giving rides to appointments, we try to show them a love and commitment that extends beyond Monday and Tuesday nights.  From time to time, we may have special events like Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, concerts, movies, and other fellowship opportunities to demonstrate what Christian community looks like outside of street life.

At this point, we also offer assistance through partnerships with detoxification centers, group homes, shelters, Christian discipleship programs and job training centers. We will also partner with local churches and ministries to provide additional resources and local connections for those seeking help.
